Welcome to Take The Reins Foundation

Few resources exist for studying and treating equine cancer. Consistent with increasing rates of cancer in people, documented incidences of cancer in horses are rising. The development of new treatments for our equine friends is limited only by funds available to conduct much needed research.

Our website serves to provide resource information and news about developments on the equine cancer front. Owners and breeders of horses with high incidences of equine cancer, equine veterinarians, and researching and practicing oncologists serve as an external advisory board. We identify and qualify information for horse owners making decisions regarding care of their equine friends in the face of cancer.
